
Valarie Clark, MPA, Founder and Principal of Clark Strategies LLC, consultancy is a tri-sector leader having worked in public, private and government has twenty years of experience at the forefront of public health, academic medicine and community engagement. Ms. Clark has demonstrated success in the ability to engage community leaders, establish relationships, build trust, work with formal and informal networks, and garner commitment from community and health leadership.
Recently serving as the inaugural Senior Vice President of Health Equity at Ketchum delivering impactful campaigns for a wide range of clients including 3M, Clorox, Novartis, USDA and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She served as Director of Stakeholder Engagement for the over 100 national and community engagement partners for the National Institute of Health’s All of Us Research Program. Ms. Clark convened community partners like the Rural Health Association, National Association of Hispanic Nurses, and Black Women’s Health Imperative, to broker engagement and build trust between communities of color and health systems.
Ms. Clark has held leadership positions at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) as both the Director of Constituent Engagement and Women in Medicine and Science where she designed and directed national leadership and professional development outreach. Ms. Clark is fully engaged with the Washington DC region by serving as an active Lifetime member of Leadership Greater Washington, an organization that convenes regional influencers to inspire collaboration and communication to positively impact community engagement in the Washington Metropolitan region. She is a member of the DC Local Advisory Board for Generation Hope, an organization that ensures student parents have opportunities to succeed.
